| Cheddar is located on the southern flank of the Mendip
hills and its risings at the foot of the gorge constitute the biggest
resurgence in the area. All the major cave systems on Mendip are within
a short drive of Cheddar and South Wales is accessible in a day.
Cheddar Caving Club meets at The Kings Head public house in Silver Street, Cheddar Gorge. The dates of meetings can be found on the index page of this site.
